Car plant in Kecskemét

In 2008, KBP began planning for the construction of a new automotive plant in Hungary.

In Kecskemét, 80 kilometers southeast of Budapest, a complete automobile factory was built; more than 150,000 cars have been manufactured there each year since 2012.

KBP was commisioned with the design of the building services for the entire plant. A total gross floor area of 230,000 m² includes a press shop, car body manufacture, paint shop, assembly hall and adjacent buildings for technology and logistics.

The central goal was a factory tailored to production requirements while simultaneously meeting high standards of energy efficiency both in building construction and technology. As a result, the car plant has a level of energy usage which is outstanding for production facilities.

To ensure maximum planning quality, the entire project was engineered in 3D throughout all design phases.
