The printing center of the publishing house Süddeutscher Zeitung in Munich represents a milestone for the Süddeutscher Verlag as well as for KBP.

For this project KBP developed an overall concept for the design of the building technologies. First the requirements of heat and cooling were assessed. Taking into account the considerable internal heat generated by the rotary machines opened up many possibilities for energy saving during production. This led to a combination of heat pump and gas as heat sources, which allowed for an economical, efficient and flexible heat supply, enhanced by intelligent control technology.
